COMPLIMENTARY ESTATE PLANNING + ASSET PROTECTION WORKSHOP

A Webinar on Legal Planning for Young Adults and Their Parents

Part of becoming an adult means understanding how the legal and financial world impacts us and taking control of our life by taking control of our legal and financial reality.

Once you turn 18, your financial and health care information becomes private. That means no one, including your parents, can access your information to help you in case of an emergency.

Your education information also becomes private. If you're in college, your parents can’t access that either, even in an emergency. For instance, if something happened to you and you couldn’t attend school for a significant period of time, your parents wouldn’t be able to withdraw you from your classes or communicate with the school on your behalf.

What this means is that your parents may have to go to court just to be able to help you. That process can take time, cost money, and delay the support you may need urgently.

If you don’t want that to happen and you want your parents to be able to support you immediately if you’re unable to do so yourself, then it’s essential to have a legal plan in place.
